For 2010, Illinois insurance producers must comply with an updated continuing education requirement.
Illinois Insurance Producers are required to complete 24 credit-hours of continuing education for each 2-year renewal period. This requirement consists of two components:
3 Credit-Hours: Classroom ethics instruction. Self-study is not permitted.
21 Credit-Hours: General credit that may be earned by completing convenient self-study courses.

Limiting Your Professional Risks (Online or Self-Study)
When enrolling for this program, you will choose a date for classroom attendance and will also be permitted to request a free copy of the self-study course book. Self-study courses may also be completed online.
Mandatory Regulatory Fee(s):
The regulatory agency to which we report your course completion(s) may require a credit reporting or other processing fee. Fees are often calculated per-course or per-credit-hour.
Students are required to pay any state-mandated fees in addition to our course tuition.
We do not add any other shipping, processing, or hidden fees.

The Illinois Department of Insurance is requiring approved schools to report course completions through a new system. As part of this process, soon there will be a mandatory fee charged for each credit hour reported..
Insurance producers taking our courses will be required to pay this department-mandated fee.
To avoid this additional cost, we recommend that you enroll and complete your continuing education requirement ASAP.
We will update this message when the department provides more detailed information, including the implementation date and fee amount.
