State Requirement

Illinois resident insurance producers who sell long-term care insurance must complete a 4-hour long-term care course every two years as part of their continuing education requirement. The requirement applies to producers who have already completed a one-time, 8-hour training course. Failure to complete the mandatory 4-hour training within one year of their deadline must complete an 8-hour training course again.

Course topics include:

  • Long-term care insurance
  • Medicaid
  • Annuities and LTC benefits
  • Reverse mortgages
  • Viatical and life settlements

This convenient self-study course (4 credit hours) is included in our free book. We encourage you to preview the book and the open-book exam. You can see the quality content first-hand and how easy it is to complete our courses. Simply submit your exam (online, by fax, or by mail) for scoring to earn credit.
