Are Real Estate Institute's courses approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)?
Yes. Real Estate Institute offers continuing education programs approved by the IDFPR and specifically designed to satisfy license renewal requirements.
What are the Continuing Education (CE) requirements for IL Real Estate Brokers?
Brokers licensed by the IDFPR must complete 12 hours of continuing education during each renewal period.*
- 4 Hours: Core - May only be completed live or online, not self-study
- 8 Hours: Electives - Must include at least one (1) hour of Sexual Harassment Prevention training
*NOTE: Brokers renewing for the first time do not require continuing education. Instead, they must complete 45 hrs of Post-License Education and at least one (1) hour of Sexual Harassment Prevention training.
Is Real Estate Institute approved by the IDFPR as a pre-license school?
Real Estate Institute is an approved Illinois education provider of pre-licensing by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). We offer courses that are required as prerequisites for the Leasing Agent, Broker, and Managing Broker licensing examinations.
